We’ve lots of ideas for family days out in Liverpool. Experiences from the depths of the ocean to farthest reaches of space, there’s no shortage of family friendly activities to keep everyone amused but here are a few of our suggestions:

National Conservation Centre

Ever wondered how museums care for the objects in their collections? The vibrant National Conservation Centre contains demonstrations, interactive activities and multi-media exhibits to investigate and understand the collections including the dirt-busting lasers used, recreating the past using the latest 3D-CGI or how to preserve a ghoulish Egyptian mummy. The centre is one of the cluster at Albert Dock.

World Museum

Discover treasures from around the globe, from dinosaurs to ancient Greek artefacts, oriental treasures bought by steamship or moon rocks bought by Apollo rockets. The World Museum has four main areas: Natural World (including tropical, mangrove, and native aquariums), Human World, Earth and Space & Time each of which contain a variety of exhibits for all ages. This museum is located on Wiliam Brown Street, about 5 minutes walk from the apartments.

Underwater Street

For kids aged 2 to 10, Underwater Street children's discovery centre is a unique venue with six exciting zones: Art Area, Construction Area, Imagination Village, Physical Zone, Sensory Area and The Lab. Each is packed with activities including a climbing wall, giant bubble area or complete mazes, dress up and more. Constantly changing with new themed activities all the time, checkout the site for details. Underwater Street is just 1km walk from us beneath the Cunard building at Pier Head.

Mersey Ferries

You know the song, get the chance to sing it for real! We recommend taking one of the River Explorer Cruises from Pier Head for a different perspective on Liverpool. The cruises go past all the spectacular waterfront sites and includes a lively commentary.

Combine a trip on the Mersey River Explorer Cruise with a journey to outer space via Seacombe Ferry Terminal. Spaceport has fantastic interactive exhibits audio-visual displays and even Wallace & Gromit in Space.
