For children, Easter Break is great; time off school, time with friends and no homework. For Parents, Easter Break can be a nightmare for the very same reasons. It can be difficult to keep your children entertained over the break and not to mention the cost. This year, plan a trip to PREMIER SUITES Liverpool and use our handy guide below to decide how to best entertain your family this Easter.

Heritage on the Dock

As always, Royal Albert Dock is our first port of call for fun family festivals. Over the first weekend of Easter break (12-14th April), they have a very special festival called Heritage on the Docks where you can learn about the history and heritage of Liverpool’s UNESCO world heritage waterfront. There are many fun and family-friendly event and stalls set up over the weekend and while you have fun you can learn something new. While you’re there visit The Merseyside Maritime Museum to get a deeper insight into our rich maritime history.

Disney on Ice

It may not entertain them for the full week, but we guarantee it will live on in their hearts and minds for a long time after they leave. Disney on Ice is on in the M&S Bank Arena between 17-21st April and it will leave your little ones feeling like all-singing, all-dancing Disney stars! There are stars from across the Disney timeline, Finding Nemo, Frozen and Toy Story to name a few. The evening is hosted by old favourites Mickey and Minnie and by the end of the evening, everyone (including the Mums and Dads) will be singing and dancing along.

Knowsley Safari

For Liverpool’s wildest day out, bring your family to the fascinating Knowsley Safari where they can not only learn about but see some of the world’s most fantastic and exotic animals in person. There are over 700 wild animals living here, from baboons to camels and wildebeest to rhinos. You can take a trip on the baboon to and meet the cheekiest monkey inhabitants or walk through the exciting new Amur Tiger Trail. This is all accompanied by trainer and zoo-keeper talks and feeding time throughout the day.

Mattel Play! Liverpool

Also down by the docks, and aimed more toward younger generations, you can visit the Mattel Play! centre for hours and hours of fun. It’s a huge 13,000 square foot interactive adventure play across three uniquely themed zones. The themes are popular cartoons suitable for boys and girls; Thomas & Friends, Bob the Builder and Fireman Sam. It’s free for adults to enter and spend some time in the café, leaving the kids to tire themselves out while having a great time. If you have a birthday, you can hire one of their two party rooms and the more kids you bring the better value it is with each additional child only £3 after the first full price child.
